Meeting of the Co-chairman of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission for Economic Cooperation, Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Mr. B. Gochmollayev with Prime Minister of Georgia Mr. I. Garibashvili
In the framework of the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission for Economic Cooperation, the head of the delegation of Turkmenistan, Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Mr. Begench Gochmollayev met with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili in Tbilisi on 5 June 2023.
The Sides noted with satisfaction the active growth of Turkmen-Georgian relations as well as the positive experience of multilateral cooperation within the framework of authoritative international and regional organizations.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the topical issues of bilateral cooperation, including the state and prospects of trade turnover, development of cooperation in the industry, transport, fuel and energy sector.
The participants noted that in the context of further development of trade and economic relations, an important role is assigned to the Turkmen-Georgian Intergovernmental Commission, the meetings of which are held on a regular basis and include an increasingly wide range of issues.
The Parties expressed confidence that traditionally friendly interstate relations, strategic partnership based on trust, mutual respect and consideration of each other’s interests, will serve as a guarantee of a qualitative increase in trade and economic ties for the prosperity of the two countries.
