Turkmenistan aims to develop international partnership in the oil and gas industry

On May 14, 2025, an international meeting was held in Ashgabat with the participation of leaders and representatives of the domestic fuel and energy complex, oil and gas industry specialists and relevant industry departments of the United Arab Emirates and the Malaysian company Petronas.
The participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the meeting further increased its significance.
During the meeting, it was noted that Turkmenistan is consistently developing international cooperation in the oil and gas sector. In this regard, great importance is attached to establishing relations with large companies and business structures around the world based on trust, mutual respect and benefit. This is important for the development of industries and the introduction of modern advanced practices in their production segments.
During the meeting, which took place in a businesslike atmosphere, attention was focused on the great opportunities for further intensification of cooperation.
Following the international meeting, agreements were signed between the State Concern “Türkmennebit”, “Petronas Çarigali (Türkmenistan) Sdn Bhd” (Malaysia) and “ADNOC Türkmenistan RSC Limited” (UAE), as well as between the State Concern “Türkmengaz”, “Petronas Çarigali (Türkmenistan) Sdn Bhd” (Malaysia) and “ADNOC Türkmenistan RSC Limited” (UAE).
