The Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2025) opened in the Avaza National Tourist Zone

On September 18, 2025, the Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2025) officially opened in the Avaza National Tourist Zone. This large-scale event brought together over 800 foreign and local delegates ready to discuss the country's investment potential.

The forum began with a plenary session entitled "Turkmenistan's Investment Attractiveness as a Factor of Strategic Effectiveness." The session was moderated by Dmitry Shlapachenko, UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan.

Keynote addresses were delivered by influential global experts, including Beatriz Luz Macer Mallor, Executive Director of the World Bank, and Rabab Fatima, UN Deputy Secretary-General, who joined the discussion online.

Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Mammetguly Astanagulov presented the government's strategy for attracting foreign investment and ensuring stable economic growth.

Ahmet Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, delivered a speech at the plenary session. In his address, he outlined the key factors that make the country a reliable partner for international business, emphasizing that Turkmenistan's investment attractiveness is directly linked to its development strategy and foreign policy.

UN Deputy Secretary-General Rabab Fatima addressed the participants of the Investment Forum in Awaza via video. She praised Turkmenistan's leadership in promoting the interests of landlocked developing countries (LLDCs) and presented new UN initiatives aimed at attracting investment.

Thematic sessions dedicated to priority economic sectors will be held over the two days of the forum.

TIF 2025 is organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
