Sports tournament among the teams of the diplomatic missions in Ashgabat

The traditional sports tournament with the participation of the specialists of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the embassies and the representative offices of international organisations accredited in our country took place in Ashgabat on occasion of the professional holidays of diplomatic officials in Turkmenistan. 

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, 3х3 basketball contest was held in the Sports Complex of the Institute of International Relations; 400-metre race was arranged at the stadium of Magtymguly State University; the intellectual contests took place in the Ashgabat Chess School. 

The team of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus won the first place in the basketball tournament, the U.S. Embassy won the second place and the Russian diplomats won the third place. 

The representatives of the U.S. Embassy demonstrated the best result in the 400-metre race. 

The diplomatic officials of the RF Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan rank the 1st and 2nd in the chess tournament. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was the best in the checkers contest and the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia won the third place. 

The valuable presents and diplomas of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of Turkmenistan were awarded to the winners. 

The participants of the sports events thanked the organizers for the atmosphere of the sports festival.
