Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Georgia met with the Rector of Sukhumi State University

On 11 March 2024, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia D.Seyitmammadov met with Rector of Sukhumi State University Zurab Khonelidze.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of scientific and humanitarian cooperation, establishment of direct contacts between higher educational institutions of the two countries, exchange of professional experience in this area.

The Ambassador noted that this year Turkmenistan celebrates the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragiat the international level. He also stressed that the events planned for the anniversary will contribute to further study and wide popularization of the rich literary heritage of Magtymguly Fragi in the world.

In turn, Z.Khonelidze noted that the two friendly countries have great opportunities to expand and intensify effective Turkmen-Georgian cooperation in science and education.
