The President of Turkmenistan held an official conversation with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda

On August 6, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda Robina Nabbanja, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

Having warmly welcomed the distinguished guest and thanked her for her participation in the international Forum, jointly organized by the UN and Turkmenistan in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, the head of state expressed his firm confidence that her current visit will open a new page in the history of interstate relations.

The Head of the Government of the Republic of Uganda expressed gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the warm hospitality extended and noted that holding such a representative Conference in Turkmenistan is evidence of the special attention paid to ensuring sustainable development and strengthening interconnectedness at the international level.

Turkmenistan shows great interest in developing relations with the states of the African region, noted President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, declaring his readiness to consider the possibility of establishing cooperation with the Republic of Uganda in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, energy, agricultural and other spheres.

“We advocate for the intensification of multilateral cooperation, in particular, within the framework of such authoritative international organizations as the United Nations,” said the head of state.

At the same time, it was noted that during the current visit, the guest will have the opportunity to familiarize herself with Turkmenistan's achievements in the energy, gas-chemical and other industries. The Turkmen side's readiness to support Uganda's specific proposals for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation was also confirmed.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister Robina Nabbanja, expressing confidence that today's talks will lay a solid foundation for the development of interstate relations, exchanged best wishes to each other and the peoples of both countries.
