Meeting of the President of Turkmenistan with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Mali

On August 6, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Mali Abdoulaye Maiga, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
Having warmly welcomed the guest to Turkmen soil, the head of state thanked him for accepting the invitation to participate in the current large-scale international Forum, held under the motto “Promoting progress by maintaining partnerships”.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Mali, expressing gratitude for the hospitality, noted the importance of the Conference, the goals of which meet the common interests of the world community. In this regard, Abdoulaye Maiga emphasized that participation in the current Forum opens up new opportunities for his country in the field of sustainable development.
One of the key vectors of Turkmenistan's foreign policy is the development of equal and mutually beneficial relations with all countries, including African states, said the head of state, confirming our country's readiness to expand cooperation with the Republic of Mali in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
As was emphasized, strengthening bilateral ties opens up great opportunities for implementing joint projects in such areas as introducing innovations in agriculture, effective water resources management, education and personnel training.
The existence of opportunities for exchanging experience in the areas of economics, energy, agriculture, education, healthcare and science was also noted. Along with this, the importance of developing cultural ties between the peoples of the two countries and organizing joint events in the field of culture and art was noted.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Mali Abdoulaye Maiga, expressing confidence in the further strengthening of interstate relations that meet mutual interests, exchanged wishes for good health, prosperity and success in government activities.
