Meeting of the President of Turkmenistan with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan
On December 11, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the International Forum on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of the Fatherland.
Warmly welcoming and thanking the distinguished guest for accepting the invitation to the International Forum, which aims to strengthen regional and global peace, the head of state emphasized the importance of the participation of the delegation led by the President of Tajikistan in this large-scale meeting.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome received in Turkmenistan, the leader of the friendly country noted that the upcoming Forum will help prioritize joint efforts to promote the principles of peace and trust and will further expand cooperation in this area. Taking the opportunity, President Emomali Rahmon warmly congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
Thanking for the kind words, the head of state emphasized that the coincidence of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality significantly increases the significance of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
As noted, interstate cooperation has reached a new level in recent years. Regular negotiations and mutual visits at the highest and government levels contribute to the strengthening of friendly Turkmen-Tajik relations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President Emomali Rahmon, reaffirming Turkmenistan and Tajikistan's readiness to further deepen their multifaceted relations, addressed wishes for peace, stability, well-being, and prosperity to the peoples of the two fraternal countries.
