Having warmly welcomed and thanked the distinguished guest for his participation in the International Forum, organized in Ashgabat on the occasion of the International Year of Peace and Trust, International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, the head of state expressed his firm confidence that the results of the current meeting will give new impetus to the strengthening of relations between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Expressing gratitude for the hospitable reception extended to him on Turkmen soil and the invitation to participate in the Forum, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan emphasized that holding such a high-level representative event is evidence of the special attention Turkmenistan pays to strengthening peace and a culture of mutual trust.

Having praised Turkmenistan's achievements in the social sphere, the guest expressed admiration for Ashgabat's architectural appearance and, taking the opportunity, warmly congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on International Neutrality Day and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.

Thanking for the kind words, the head of state emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is one of our country's important partners in the South Asian region.

As emphasized, Turkmenistan effectively cooperates with Pakistan within such large and authoritative organizations as the United Nations, the Economic Cooperation Organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. In this context, the head of state noted his particularly warm memories of his meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, which took place in Tianjin during the SCO Summit.

Speaking about cooperation in the energy sector, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the implementation of projects to build the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India transnational gas pipeline, a high-voltage power transmission line, and a fiber-optic communication system along the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan route will give impetus to the socio-economic development of the entire region and will become a key factor in sustainable development.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed confidence that interstate relations based on ties of friendship, brotherhood, and mutual respect would continue to develop, and exchanged best wishes.
