On 10 March 2026, an interactive dialogue titled “The Role of Women Diplomats in Society and Their Achievements” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan as part of the second regional training for young diplomats and civil servants from Central Asian countries.

The event was organized jointly with the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office in Turkmenistan. It brought together women working in diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, faculty members of the Institute, and female students.

During the dialogue, speeches were delivered by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan Rana Abu Hijleh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Turkmenistan Faryal Leghari, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Turkmenistan Narine Saakyan, and Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Chynar Rustemova.

The speakers highlighted the importance of Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality, which serves as an example of promoting peaceful initiatives and establishing trust-based dialogue in international relations. It was noted that the principle “Dialogue is a Guarantee of Peace,” implemented on the basis of neutrality, contributes to strengthening the role of women in diplomacy and supports their initiatives aimed at ensuring peace in the region.

Participants also emphasized that the professional achievements of women in public administration and international cooperation directly contribute to the sustainable development of peace.

The seminar, held within the framework of the second regional training for young diplomats and civil servants from Central Asia, became an effective platform for enriching the professional experience of young specialists and once again demonstrated the important role of women in the peace-building diplomacy of neutral Turkmenistan.
