President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the compatriots on the 25th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan

“We celebrate this beautiful holiday being proud of our high achievements in policy, economy, social sphere, science and culture, of our Constitution, which proclaims the human as the highest value of the state and society, - the message of the Head of the State said. Opening ceremonies of large beautiful industrial, social and cultural, scientific and educational, medical and sport facilities, which meet increased modern requirements, are being held in honour of the main holiday of independent neutral Turkmenistan in the capital and all regions of the country. Bright music and song performances are being organized. 

Foundation of independent Turkmen state on October 27, 1991 became determining historical event for our people and the world community. Our country entered the way of its own independent development quarter of the century ago. New era started in the history of native Motherland and its people. 

Having gained the independence, we made the State Flag and the State Emblem embodying the sovereignty of Turkmenistan, revived our glorious heroic history, original heritage, humane principles and noble traditions. 

For sort historical period, our country considerably improved state and social system, realized large-scale economic reforms. Democratic principles gained further development; large successes have been achieved in internal and foreign policy. 

Having gained the independence, international authority of our sovereign Motherland has been increased as a country supporting general peace, sustainable development and security. 

On December 12, 1995, first time in the history, special resolution of the United Nation General Assembly on recognition by the world community of the status of permanent neutrality of our independent state was adopted. 

Turkmenistan, located at important intersection of Asia and Europe, became a peace-making centre, having gained large experience in establishments of friendly relations with different countries and competent international organizations, in particular, for development of new effective mechanisms and directions of international cooperation. 

At modern stage of independent development of the Motherland, we undertake large-scale work, paying special attention to stable economic growth. According to our main motto “The State for the Individual!”, we realize comprehensive reforms of all branches of economy, science, education, public health, sport, culture and tourism. 

We develop the entrepreneurship, provide high social and living level of the people, make new modern villages, settlements, industrial complexes, what promotes the consolidation of the principles of the state sovereignty. 

Construction of Turkmen part of international railroad Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Tajikistan, the Olympic village facilities in Ashgabat, National tourist zone “Avaza”, Turkmenbashy Sea Port, large bridges, accommodation houses of high comfort, hotel complexes, recreational and health centres undergoes at high speed. 

Modern kindergartens, schools, cultural houses and industrial enterprises are being built all around the country. All of these is visual evidence of grandiose successes and achievements of our sovereign country. 

Opening ceremonies of International Airport and Oguzkhan Engineering and Technology University in Ashgabat as well as beautiful buildings of industrial, social and cultural facilities in the velayats’ centres, towns and villages were held during the Year of Honour of Heritage and Transformation of the Motherland. All of those gives special spirit to the Independence Day, increasing the proud of our country. 

International authority of neutral Turkmenistan as a state that consolidates the efforts for peace and harmony on the planet and ascertains the principles of positive neutrality, peace-loving and good neighbourhood for the sake of global progress, prosperity and wellbeing always grows. 

And henceforth, consolidation of positions of our sovereign Motherland, which is developed, legal and secular state, will be our main target.
