The song «Go, go my Beloved Turkmenistan!» is selected as an anthem song of Ashgabat 2017

The Mukams’ Palace of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan held the meeting dedicated to selection of anthem of Ashgabat 2017 and the outcomes of the congress “Asian Games 2017: International Sport Cooperation for Peace and Progress” in Avaza National tourist zone. 
 

The objectives set by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for preparation to V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games including the main song of the coming competitions were discussed as well. 

The Chairperson of the Mejlis, members of the Government, leader of national mas media and cultural sphere responsible of its development in velayats, representatives of the art intellectuals like artists, writers, painters, composers, etc., personnel of cultural and educational institutions of the country as well as sportsmen took part in the meeting. Public figures and political scientists were also invited to the meeting. 

The outcomes of the events on April 7 with participation of foreign delegations from numbers of countries, prominent politicians, foreign journalists and art workers as well as other guests were reviewed during the session. 

The events on occasion of the World’s Health Day in Avaza were marked by numerous important activities, which highlighted the significance of this action on public and political level. There are opening ceremony of large sport complex, which supplemented the infrastructure of the sea resort, with participation of the Head of Turkmenistan, meetings with the representatives of foreign government circles and international organizations, foreign businessmen held by Turkmen Leader and many others. 

The spokesmen of the meeting addressed congratulations to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his awards for outstanding personal contribution in development of sports from International Meibukan Goju Ryu Karate Association and Asian Chess Federation that awarded honorary title of Man of the Year to Turkmen Leader. 

The Head of the State said that he accepts these awards as a sign of recognition of Turkmenistan merits in the development of sports and physical culture, active role of our country in international sport movement, its strict commitment to high ideals of the Olympic movement, increase of role of the sports in consolidation of friendship and understanding between the people. The President also highlighted that he shares this honour with all athletes of the country, who deservingly represented Turkmenistan in the world’s arena achieving victories and bright successes at prestigious international tournaments wherever the Flag of our Motherland is hoisted. 

We are expecting more outstanding results from our sportsmen at Asian Games 2017, whoch organizational works are almost completed. Chairman of the Executive Committee for preparation to V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Dayanch Gulgedliyev told on large work carried out in this direction in his report. 

It was mentioned during the meeting that for provision of high organizational level of 2017 Asian Games, which organizational works are at the final stage, Turkmen specialists cooperate with famous foreign companies, which have large experience in largest sport competitions on the planet and with international profile organizations. 

Turkmenistan and the Asian Olympic Council have close partnership. Professional contacts with sport federations, national Olympic committees of the countries participating in 2017 Asian Games, which representatives had meeting and Ashgabat and inspected the Olympic village, having familiarized with the facilities, conditions for sportsmen and spectators, were established. Many of them insisted that this is the best sport complex in the world for today, having highly estimated its well-thought planning, functional capabilities of the facilities and architectural beauty and original design of the buildings with national elements, which are paid with great attention by Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The leaders of NOCS highlighted that Ashgabat, having such heritage of the Asian Games, can easily apply for hosting the Olympics. 

The celebration held on Hazar coast recently left indelible trace in perception and hearts of the compatriots especially the young generation, - Editor-in-chief “Turkmenistan” news Kakamurat Rejepov said at the session in Mukams’ Palace. 

The spokesmen were unanimous in the opinion that successful event opened new page in the intensification of international humanitarian partnership, dialog of cultures of different people, establishment of new contacts and artistic exchanges, which would make deserving input in consolidation of friendship between peoples and would promote strengthening of peace, harmony and progress. 

It was also mentioned that during the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on March 24, the Head of the State assigned to make a competition among art workers for preparation of the anthem of Ashgabat 2017 – the main song of V Asian Games, having noted the suitability of performance of its variations during public cultural events on occasion of the World’s Health Day. 

New songs, which authors were inspired by the theme of Ashgabat Asian Games, were performed during the concert of Turkmen and foreign celebrities in Avaza on April 7, where the President of Turkmenistan presented as a guest of honour. It was great surprise for everyone when Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov entered the stage and offered his song “Go, go my beloved Turkmenistan!” as one of the versions of the main song of Ashgabat Games. 

Cultural workers and art masters unanimously highlighted that the lyrics and music of this composition express precisely the high proud and happiness for independent neutral Turkmenistan felt by millions of our citizens. 

The status of this project binds cultural masters to higher commitments in solution of the objectives given by the Head of the State for artistic comprehension of our modern reality, creation of new works meeting the spirit and demands of the time, - Director of the Main Drama Theatre of Turkmenistan Kakajan Ashyrov mentioned in his speech. In this context, the importance of artistic search, original solutions and new approaches to the work of literature, theatre and cinema staff, artists and journalists playing considerable role in formation of ideology, popularization of sports and Olympic movement was highlighted. 

In her speech, leading soloist of Turkmen music, People’s artiste of the country Jemal Saparova made special mention of the great importance that the Head of the State attaches to protection and succession of national traditions, involvement of new ideas and projects for achievement of the targets of public development in cultural sphere. First of all, this is about spiritual growth and memory of the origin, via which the progress is implemented in the best sense. 

All of these are expressively embodied in the song of the Head of the State – patriotic appeal “Go, go my Beloved Turkmenistan!” First time, it was performed during the opening ceremony of «Türkmeniň ak öýi» in administration centre of Mary Velayat. More than 4 thousand people sang it in single breath what was registered as a world record listed in the Guinness Record Book. 

From its premier the song was accepted by our compatriots by heart and that is why the proposal to select it as an anthem of Ashgabat 2017 was supported by all participants of the meeting. 

The participants of the session also had constructive conversation having outlined near-term objectives for successful Asian Games in Ashgabat. 

Summing up the outcomes of the session, the participants unanimously spoke for the song “Go, go beloved Turkmenistan!” by Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as an anthem of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
