Significant Growth since Start of Year

Last week, 110 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

In foreign currency, businessmen from the UAE, Scotland, and Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas and gasoline produced at the Turkmenbashi Refinery Complex, and diesel fuel (Seidi Refinery).  

Deals in foreign currency also included cotton yarn, plain dyed and jacquard terry textiles. They were made by traders from Russia, the UAE, Turkey, Ukraine, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan. The sum total of the transactions exceeded US $57,000,000.

In local currency, entrepreneurs from the UAE, Turkey, Pakistan, and Kazakhstan made deals for purchasing cotton yarn. The sum total of the deals was over 67,000,000 manats. 

For the domestic market, local businessmen bought high-density polyethylene (Türkmengaz State Concern), cotton fiber, and handmade carpets (30, 618, 000 manats).
