The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chad has been accredited to Turkmenistan

On 21 January 2026, on the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, D.Gulmanova, accepted the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chad to Turkmenistan, Mahamoud Adam Bechir.

On behalf of the Head of State, the Speaker of the national parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to the responsible post and expressed confidence in the successful development of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Chad.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, the Ambassador conveyed, on behalf of the leadership of the Republic of Chad, sincere greetings and best wishes to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the friendly people of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the diplomat was informed about the structure and activities of the Mejlis aimed at the comprehensive improvement of the national legislative framework, as well as about the key directions of Turkmenistan’s domestic and foreign policy. In this regard, it was noted that Turkmenistan attaches importance to expanding cooperation with countries of the world, including those of the African continent.

The sides also exchanged views on the prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Ambassador emphasized that it is a great honor for him to represent the Republic of Chad in neutral Turkmenistan and assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.
