New book of Turkmen leader is presented to the public

Presentation of new book of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Spiritual World of Turkmens”, which publication has become an excellent present of Turkmen leader to fellow countrymen on the Independence Day, took place in the capital’s Mekan Palace.

The ceremony was forestalled by the exhibition where new work of the Head of the State was a central exhibit. It also presented other books, scientific monographs and fundamental multi-volume works of the President, which are very popular in our country and abroad, as well as numerous publications about modern Turkmenistan.

Vice-premier M. Mammedova, who supervises cultural and mass media sphere, representatives of profile departments and mass media, cultural and art personnel took part in the event. Exclusive importance of new book, through the content of which the idea about the necessity of deep study, protection and wide popularization of great cultural heritage, which is very basis for further spiritual growth of Turkmens in new historical epoch, runs as a red line, was highlighted in the speeches.

It was mentioned that publication of new outstanding work of the Head of the State would serve to further popularization of rich spiritual heritage of Turkmen nation, which made significant contribution to development of global civilization.

It was remarkable that this work, which has become a quintessence of century-old national wisdom, was written by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov exactly this year, which is held under slogan Turkmenistan – Home of Neutrality, symbolizing succession of traditions and moral principles of current and previous generations.

The participants of the presentation noted that “Spiritual World of Turkmens” allows assessing the scale of work under the leadership of the Head of the State for collection, detailed study and propaganda of unique folk arts and important intangible values.

The book consists of twelve chapters, which narrate about such important meanings as beauty and value of life, wealth on the earth, eternity of everything in the world. Special attention is paid to the importance of science and education in development of society, importance of healthy life style, education of such important attributes as hardworking, prudence, ability to finish what was started successfully.

It is remarkable that relations between people and surrounding world and nature are explained on moral examples from legends and stories, which bear deep life wisdom and century-old experience of ancestors. Skillful art application of folklore including sayings and proverbs, wisdoms and catch phrases made by our ancestors enhance the value and importance of literary works of the Head of the State and enrich their content.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov always highlights that national heritage is strongly related to life experience of humanity. Thus, everlasting human values reflected in culture of any nation have been brightly reflected in national traditions of Turkmens, which share nobility, civility, hospitality, friendly and fraternal relations, unity and solidarity.

Study and following of original national traditions and customs, high principles of society were very important in education of growing generation in the spirit of true patriotism and primordial spiritual and moral values that have been formed up throughout the centuries.

That is why, Turkmen leader made special mention in the book that careful protection and succession of experience of previous generation and passing of this experience to future generations are the duties of each of us. Ability to use capabilities and experience gained by the nation for 5,000 years of history are very important in this case.

The Head of the State notes that high ideals given us by the ancestors have to be examples for current and future generation and reflected in art works and in life.

Following century-old traditions of our people, sovereign Turkmenistan builds its foreign open door policy today, which is aimed at establishment of wide international cooperation for common interests.

Poets and art masters noted in their speeches that work of the Head of Turkmenistan would support to protection of succession and further popularization of national spiritual values of Turkmen nation.

Presentation of new book of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Spiritual World of Turkmens” has also been held in Magtumguly Turkmen State University and Central Officer Club of the Defence Ministry.
