Strengthening scientific and cultural dialogue: a delegation of Turkmen scholars visited the National Library of Georgia

On 28 April 2026, a delegation of scholars from the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan visited the National Library of Georgia, where they were given a guided tour.

The primary objective of the visit was to establish long-term cooperation in the fields of science, librarianship, and archival exchange.

During the visit, the guests were briefed on the library’s activities, organizational structure, and key areas of work. They were given a guided tour of the library’s main reading halls, specialized departments, and its unique collections, including rare editions, archival materials, and contemporary digital resources. The library staff emphasized its role as one of the leading scientific and information centers, contributing to the advancement of academic exchange and intercultural interaction.

At the conclusion of the event, both parties underscored that the exchange of knowledge and the preservation of a shared historical heritage constitute a pathway toward prosperity and mutual understanding between our peoples.
