Head of World Organization for Animal Health gets acquainted with the Association “Turkmen Alabais”

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to France Shohrat Jumaev met with Director General of the World Organization for Animal Health Mrs. Monique Elois and Advisor to Director General, Dr. Romano Marabelli. The parties discussed the issues of enhancing cooperation to ensure epizootic well-being.

During the meeting, Ambassador Sh. Jumaev informed Mrs. Elois that the Association "Türkmen alabaý itleri" ("Turkmen alabai") was recently established in Turkmenistan and presented the structure and key vectors of work of the association, aimed at breeding Turkmen Alabais, preserving and enhancing this unique breed of dogs, its popularization in the world.

As noted, in our country, comprehensive work is carried out to develop the most valuable qualities of Alabai and create a modern system of canine activity and dog breeding.

Highly appreciating the efforts of Turkmenistan to protect animal health, Mrs. Elois expressed the willingness of the World Organization for Animal Health to develop multi-aspect cooperation in this direction. Mrs. Elois expressed the interest to visit Turkmenistan and get to know more about the activities of the Association "Turkmen Alabai".

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Sh. Jumaev presented the books by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as other printed materials about Turkmen Alabais and Ahalteke horses to Mrs. Elois.
